CIS and Indian Embassy discuss the workplan 2021

On 19/3/2021, at HCMA, Dr. Nguyen Manh Hai, Deputy Director of Institute for Scientific Information, Director of the Center for Indian Studies (CIS) hosted a meeting and working session with the delegation of the Embassy of the Republic of India in Vietnam led by Mr. Subhash P. Gupta, Deputy Chief of Mission. The meeting took place in a cordial and friendly atmosphere.


Also in attendance were Mr. Sushil Prasad, First Secretary for Political Affairs of the Embassy of the Republic India in Vietnam; Mr. Vu The Cuong, Deputy Director of CIS and other officials of CIS.

Welcome Deputy Chief of Mission Subhash P. Gupta for visiting and working at the Center, said Dr. Nguyen Manh Hai, within the framework of the 5th anniversary of the comprehensive strategic partnership between Vietnam and India, CIS will coordinate with the Embassy of India in Vietnam to implement a variety of cultural and academic exchange plans and activities, thereby further developing and deepening friendly relations and cooperation between the governments and people of the two countries.

Deputy Chief of Mission Subhash P. Gupta appreciated the results of cooperation in organizing cultural exchanges, diplomatic cooperation and academic exchanges between CIS and the Embassy of the Republic of India in Vietnam during the previous time. Mr. Gupta said that these were positive developments in the relationship which strengthened the diplomatic bonds between Vietnam and India.

With important diplomatic and cultural events being held in the year 2021-2022, such as the 5th Anniversary of the Vietnam-India Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, 50 years of establishment of official diplomatic relations in Vietnam - India, 75th Anniversary of India's independence, both sides affirmed to facilitate more specific programs of activities with the aim of continuing to tighten and deepen the good relations between Vietnam and India.

At the end of the meeting, Deputy Chief of Mission Subhash P. Gupta presented the Center for Indian Studies commemorative photos of the Taj Mahal, and the world cultural heritage of India.
